Objective: Know the 26 letters, say them and spell your name.

English uses the same 26 letters as many languages, but the letter names are different: A sounds like "ay", E like "ee", I like "eye".

To spell a word, say each letter separately: "My name is Ali: A-L-I". For a double letter, say "double": "Hassan: H-A-double S-A-N".

Be careful with letters that are easy to mix up: E / I, G / J, A / R.

Examples

  • How do you spell your name?
  • It's A-M-I-N-A.
  • Can you repeat, please?
